Why did Michael lose interest in Lisa Marie ??

( Lisa later claimed she did not know this kiss was going to happen and she was embarrassed by this ploy'

then Later told Oprah she asked WHY they had to do the kiss,-showing she knew all along...  )

Well 1st I want to preface this by saying that the marriage was NOT real. So it's important to understand that because it gives context to MJ's actions....

Introduction:

So some quick info....

Back in the early 90s, MJ was looking for a new singer for his Rec Co. MJJ Records. his friend Brett was to receive a fat commission for finding a new singer.  MJ wanted an attractive girl. Brett knew Lisa and immediately thought of her. He told MJ how beautiful she was and that she could sing. Michael requested a demo tape but when Brett asked Lmp for one, she insisted on meeting MJ. 

Meeting 1st time:

They met soon after and Lisa (according to her friends) was smitten with MJ from the start. She was married but obviously that didn't stop her... Anyway, she and MJ became friends. He told Ebony, she would even cry when the media treated him so badly. He felt a real connection to her, and they grew close. 

Brett's Incentive:

Brett meantime, was pushing hard because he was to get a sizable commission. So since it was Lisa's b day. He told MJ. who told him to get her a nice gift. Brett gave her an expensive painting and wrote MJ's name on it. Lisa loved it and insisted on calling him and thanking him in person... As their friendship continued, the press was getting more vicious and hateful toward Michael. Their jealousy and angst was always over the top when it came to rich, powerful POC.. 

MJ's Incentive:

At the same time, his Mgmt Co. was pushing him to Marry to quell some of the vicious gay /pedo lies the press was telling about him. They also advised him to give up his dream of marrying Di since she had been stalling him for yrs and obviously (accd'g to them)  was NOT going to marry him. On a whim, MJ asked Lisa if he were to ask a favor of her to marry him, what would she say. She gushed that she'd say YES! MJ's Mgmt LOVED the idea! She was after all a Presley! The publicity would be amazing. They made a deal with Lisa and told her, her job would be to look Pretty, go plces with him pose for pics and pretend to be a doting, happy wife. They told them to just stick it out for 2 yrs and then say Baby issues caused a break up! ALL of that was planned before they even left the states. But at SOME pt in time, MJ must have had 2nd thoughts because he asked Brooke to do the FAKE marriage AFTER Lisa had already said YES!

Brooke off the Market..

Even though Brooke and MJ faked a romance for yrs at the request of the Rec. Co. she said no because she was in love and wanted to be with her guy... MJ reluctantly planned a quickie faux wedding with lmp. I think he liked her enough, and I think he was attracted to her. she was after all, quite pretty at that time. But problem was, I think he worried that she'd fall for him and if he did not return her feelings, things might get ugly. He was absolutely right. His Mgmt pushed, begged and tried to coerce him to hurry and marry Lisa. They felt her last name was a big bonus, and they loved the whole idea... Lisa loved the idea too, and promised the media would never dare smear HER Husband. That he would finally get the peace he deserved...

Diana endorses faux marriage

GM, his Mgmt Co. has never disclosed how much money they paid Lisa. But they have 100% admitted that they DID indeed pay her! However, their plan was for MJ to marry Lisa for Real. He was not interested in doing that at all. He talked to Diana about it, (He talked to Di about everything) Di liked the idea and thought he should do it. They talked 3 hrs and both ended up crying on the phone. But Di still told him to do it. She was married to Arne and she knew he needed a "Public image wife"  MJ went 

to DR and paid the magistrate Hugo Alvarez to do the ceremony 4.5 hrs OUTSIDE his jurisdiction to make sure it was NOT legal. He also refused to attend mandatory meetings, Skipped all approvals, and misrepresented himself on all the ppwk, He did EVERYTHING in his power to make sure it was non legal and invalid. He even taped it in the tacky hotel rm to prove they couldn't possibly be in La Vega like he claimed on the paperwk.  The officials refused to sign off on his certificate but MJ said that was fine. He just needed it to LOOK REAL...

What honeymoon??

He sent Lisa to Casita that night (1 hr away) and he stayed at Casa that HM nite. Later, Hugo would lie and say that he married them at his home in Le Vega but during that time the roads were horrible and it took hours to get into La Vega. And Records prove they were in the hotel in Casa having breakfast at 10.30! They were NEVER in La Vega. Hugo was paid to lie....

Trouble begins....

After they came back from the so called Honey moon, GM began to bitterly complain that Lisa was calling all hrs of day n night. She was calling ALL of MJ's companies demanding to know his whereabouts, crying and carrying on. Soon, all his ppl were calling GM screaming that they had not told Lisa it was FAKE. GM insisted they indeed DID tell her and did not know why she was acting like Mike was her husband for Real. They said she knew it was to be in name ONLY and they were never even going to live together!  And they didnt' Lisa was at hidden hills with Danny and their children and Mike was following Diana, and staying with her. (Her children admitted this later on, that he'd been there the whole time, and when she would chg homes ( Di keeps 7 homes) half bought by Michael... But when she would chg homes, he would follow and move in on her again....Her kids laughed and said she gave up trying to make him leave...

Still in love with Diana...

JMO, but I think what killed the closeness MJ and Lisa originally shared was his inability to fall OUT OF Love with Diana. I'm sure he tried his best, but he wasn't able to. (That's why in IJCSLY) He talks about loving her ... All my life baby!  

Diana is the ONLY ONE he loved all his life, he's once again, talking about her.

• Diana was his date for the 1990 AMAs where he said on stage that he loved her beyond words 
• In 91 He told people Mag Diana was his world

• Diana was his date for the clinton Inaguation of 92 as well as the Demograt Nat Convention. 

• In 92 he dedicated dangerous, Come tog'r and RTT to Diana

• Who is is came out in 93, and he not only put Diana's name in, but he had the girl chg cloths alot ( a diana trademark) and described how Diana left him w/o a call or letter.. 

• 93 He tells Oprah, Diana quenches his fire!   

• At 93 Grammy's, he does shout out telling Di he loves her while sup'd to be with lisa!  

• Just like he did on history cd, (95) He put pic of Diana in his arms and said ALL his love was for her! while he was sup'd to be with Lisa!!

He wasn't able to let go of Diana, that's reason # 2 they never had a chance...

But back to Lisa. She was angry and bitter because she expected him to fall in love with her. And he DID CARE. But every time he was asked if he loved Lisa, he responded that he LIKED HER AND HOPED TO BE FRIENDS!!

I think Lisa felt humiliated.  She began to give intervs by phone 10 deep and she pretty much trashed him. But at the same time she was fol'wg him 

and trying to go on his tours and trying to make deals to stay together. Mike on the other hand, felt betrayed. He had begun to trust Lisa, and saw her as a confidante and friend, but she was turning into a nightmare!

Lisa contradicts herself:

 When she wasn't laughing with Marilyn Manson, calling him a baby dangler, she was giggling saying his nose was falling off. And telling RS she had never seen him without make up and who the fuck knew what was under there! By 2003, She had told SEVERAL Mags that she had not spoken to him in years,  Which was weird, considering she later tried to claim they had been dating for four yrs after the divorce!! But all anyone had to do was go back to her old intervs where she claimed to several ppl  incl Sawyer, Oprah, RS, Larry king, GQ  and others that she had not seen or spoken to him in yrs!! Just like she claimed in 05 that he called her and was crying that she said she was indifferent! That is complete bullshit. MICHAEL was the one who was indifferent to HER!! That's she she complained to Oprah that he treated her like old furniture, and she screamed at him that she was NOT going to be ignored! 

Lisa made up so many stories the NYT and B/ Sun were both asking WHY was she making up all these ridiculous stories? That's easy. Because she had fools who could watch her contradict her Own self and still convince themselves she was telling the truth!

The reason is simple. THEY WANTED it to be true...

And lets face it. Lisa had REASON to be angry. Mike was not exactly treating her well. Even when she had Mercury

poisoning in 96 his mom (who loved Lisa) had to beg him to take her around help her find a good doc and get well... And both parents had to beg him to take her to Africa with them, and if you saw that video, you saw how cool and INDIFFERENT HE WAS to her! It was completely obvious, he did not want her there...

Relationship falling apart:

So in MY opinion, I think what killed their paltry relationship is diminished Trust. MJ lost all trust in her and realized she was NOT someone he could count on, to be there for him. Hell everything he said to her went straight to the media! That's the LAST type of woman he was looking for... I think if Lisa had gone the other way, and been someone he could tell his deepest woes to, she'd have had a real chance of winning a piece of his heart. He already liked her and thought she was "really cute" as he put it. I don't think it would have taken much to convince him to give her a chance. Esp with Diana stringing him along and not marrying him after promising for Yrs that she would ... So he was ripe for something new. And he was definitely checking Lisa out...

 But the stuff about him trying to get her info and number from Branca was NOT true. MJ made that up to give the faux marriage some credibility. Branca was asked later if Michael had bugged him to get Lisa's number (somethg his Sec could have easily done in an hour!) Branca said: "In all the Yrs I've known Michael. He has Never even Mentioned Lisa to me!!"

MJ made that up to make ppl believe the marriage was real. (But it wasn't) You can't even Re Marry in DR unless you are divorced 1 Yr. Lisa was 1 month divorced! And on top of that, Danny's petition for divorce was DENIED the 1st time. They were still married when She and MJ went to DR. in fact, Lisa did not legitimately  divorce Danny until she was going to marry Nic Cage!

Conclusion:

So the reason he lost Interest is because he lost TRUST. And trust was extremely important to Michael. This is why Diana (who knew him better than almost anyone) Said to Ebony Mag

"I try to be that safe space. Someone he KNOWS he can trust. He knows I'll never tell his secrets, and he can relax here.  And he knows I'll be there for him...

If Lisa had taken a tip from    Diana's playbook, she'd have had a REAL chance.....However, there is blame on BOTH sides. They both could have tried harder and treated each other alot better....

So now you have some back story.

 You know that they were eng'd and she ran off with Arne, which broke Michael's heart and scarred him for decades...

Dirty Diana was about none other than Diana Ross. and she knew it. Michael was extremely angry at this pt in time. Not only did he release DD but also Cheater and Leave me alone were also released around this time.  He was venting and trying to get over his pain..But also wanting some revenge. He put DD out as a Fuck you to Diana Ross. It was in no way intended to be a love song..

When he talked about her loving the boys in the band, he was referring to how attracted Diana was to 'musicians'  Which is why she dated:

• Lionel Richie of Commodores 

   . Barry Gibb of Beegees

   . Gene Simmons of Kiss. 

Diana actually dated Gene a few yrs while Gene and Michael fought hard to win her from each other.  But after Diana had and Intimate encounter with Gene and called out MICHAEL'S NAME!! All hell broke out. Gene blamed MJ not Di and they became Lifelong enemies from that point on...

They were fighting Hard for Diana, This is also why MJ wrote, recorded and put out 

"The Girl is Mine "  (from thriller 1982) and sent the first copy to Gene Simmons!

Anyway, Michael was VERY angry at Diana when he released DD. He had spent yrs fighting over her. fighting for her. fighting WITH her to come out of the closet! only to lose her to Arne, and STILL NOT have her as his wife!  So MJ was basically boiling with rage and anger. DD was his way of saying

"I'm going to tell the whole world, what a Slut you are!"

The first draft was really bad. He made some very mean insinuations. and hints.When Quincy  heard it, he flipped out! He told Michael he could NOT do that to Diana, and that everyone would know it was about her. He begged MJ to chg the 2nd verse so it could be passed off as being about Groupies,  And to tell ppl that when asked, MJ reluctantly agreed..

Quincy inadvertently revealed this when he told a friend who worked for Rock/Soul Mag. He swore his to secrecy but the friend later published it... But MJ kept his word and told everyone DD was about groupies, but Diana Ross KNEW it was about Her and she didn't speak to him for over 2 weeks because she was angry over the song..... 

 

Anyway. Many people 'DON'T want to believe DD is for Diana Ross. Today, I'm going to show you that it absolutely IS...

1.  Diana has a song called Chain Reaction.  At the beginning of her Video she is sitting in a limo looking cool and alluring. She gets out, slim and sexy and structs into the building...

Notice MJ replicated this scene. At the beginning of DD, the girl is sitting in the Limo, cool and alluring just like Di. Then she gets out and structs in looking slim and sexy! Its the EXACT SAME SCENE because he was talking about the SAME WOMAN!

2.  When Diana stopped being mad and forgave Michael for writing DD about her, she finally laughed about him writing a thot song to her, and even recorded her OWN Version which she put on her 89 Greatest hits album. and then began to use the song as an introduction to her show, and she'd tell her audience..

"I know you all remember this one_My badboy wrote it for me!!"

 3  Michael was sooooo in love with Di. He was like   a man possessed. He had a lg room in his home filled with photos, pics. paintings, date momentous etc. of Diana Ross.  He was so in love with her, he practically WORSHIPED her...

The Shrine  Room he has for Di  contained hundreds of candles burning to Diana Ross. Because  Some Obeah man had given him the stupid idea as a kid, that burning candles to your beloved, would keep her from ever leaving you. 

So he ALWAYS had candles burning to central pics of Diana.

He is doing that to let DIANA KNOW he is DEFINITELY talking to her. You see, back in the day, Berry Gordy thought Diana was a much Classier/Sexier name than DIANE so he convinced Diane to chg it. 

That's why in 1976 Diane Ernestine Earl Ross became Diana E. Ross!!

Part One...

People cannot understand why Michael would write this obviously unflattering song about the love of Michael's life. What they don't get, is that at the time of this song's release  Michael was expecting to MARRY DIANA! But she was too scared of public opinion.. So this is why he was so hurt and angry. DD was a REVENGE RANT. It was not a love or admiration song.. And it was NOT about Princess Di. 

MJ released DD in 1987, And MJ did not even meet Princess Di till July 18 1988! It was not about the Princess... 

  The Beginning....

In 1975.  Diana's then best friend. ( Producer Debra Chase) talked a/b being in the limo, going to the Mahogany premier with' Diana. She said Di told the driver to stop and pick up her date. Debra said she was wondered why her date didn't pick_ HER_up...But as they pulled into a private estate,, She KNEW why. She was shocked to see Diana's date. A young baby faced  kid with a huge smile as he gazed adoringly at Diana. He had not even noticed Debra. As he climbed in, Debra kept starring thinking it couldn't be! But it was. It was a baby faced, 17 year old Michael Jackson!! He got in and kissed Diana deeply in the mouth, before he spotted Debra and pulled back in surprise. Debra said she was floored because he was MICHAEL and he was only 17! But soon after this, they were all over Hollywood. hugging/ kissing/ holding hands.etc.  .Half the town of knew about them...Especially because MJ and Di often visited their 3 favorite hotels.

MJ loved to tease her about it...Also, It was in Liberia that Diana finally accepted his ring. MJ had been working on a new song. It was about Diana and he was going to call it Pyramid girl. (in keeping  with RTT theme)  But he was so happy and excited that Di took his ring, he renamed the song Liberian Girl   And added this Line:

AND I'LL SMILE AND SAY IT TOO!!

He was soooo excited and elated at the prospect of having Diana, he couldn't wait to do it..

But when they got back to the states, He tried with all his might to pin her down on a wedding date, but Diana stalled and made excuses. Her fear was rearing it's head again... MJ was so frustrated and angry, he dedicated the song to Liz Taylor. He did this to piss Diana off because he knew she did not like Liz. Elizabeth found it hilarious because she also knew Diana did not like her...  They worked it out with Diana pouting because Mike dedicated the song to Liz. But he told her Everyone would know it wasn't about Liz so it didn't matter..

In  late 1984, They went  to tell his mother  that they were getting .married. Di was very nervous, and hoping for her blessing. But it didn't go well.  Katherine Jackson lost it! Her face was cold and resolute when she told Diana she was too old for her son, and she was Soiling him! It turned into a yelling match with Diana in tears and Michael furious! He stood, and told his mother, he was going to MARRY Diana with or without her blessing!

But his mom had other ideas. She immediately called some reporter friends and told them Diana was trying to marry her too young son. And she was too old for him. They agreed with her and told her they would take care of it. With that, they began to follow and harrass Diana everywhere she went. They called her cradle robber,, baby fucker, and slut. Di was distressed and upset. Michael kept telling her once they got married, everyone would accept it, and it would be ok. But she had cold feet, and told him she had to go on vaca alone to think. But while there, she met Arne, and ran off with him..

He was talking about Diana promising repeatedly to marry him -then up and leaving without even leaving him a letter or anything! Worse even than losing her, MJ struggled for yrs to understand WHY? He kept asking what he had done wrong....

But she would constantly tell other ppl, they were like family!!  Obviously wanting the public to think they had a (JUST GOOD FRIENDS) type relationship You see Mike speaks of her leaving him for another man and Him barely being able to hand on and feeling like a fool... Mike often spoke of being Diana's fool because he loved her soooo much it was hard for him to refuse her anything. So when she wanted to keep their relationship (IN THE CLOSET)  It was extremely difficult for him because it meant going against  EVERYTHING  he ever wanted in order to accommodate her...

Now I can never fall in love!  

Self explanatory, Mike was older/bolder/and colder. He was determined to tell the world that Diana had  been stringing  him along for yrs. while promising him someday, they would be OPENLY together and  she would MARRY him! Michael was angry and distraught at the lost years and failed dreams. Also he blamed Diana for not being able to fall OUT OF LOVE WITH HER and move on! 

To understand why, you have to know that DIANA was the one Pushing mike at other women!! She was the one who PICKED STEPHANIE MILLS and encouraged him to stay with Lisa ( for public Image only) when he desperately wanted out, and just wanted to get far away from Lisa..Not because Lisa  was such a bad person, but just because they were NOT compatible and he knew he it. I do believe Lisa loved him, but  HE DID NOT LOVE HER!!  And when Mike was asked several times if HE LOVED Lisa, not once did he EVER say Yes!! He kept saying he CARED & hoped they could be friends .MJ has always known his love was for Diana... 

Now to understand Why Diana, (who did indeed love him) would ever want him with other women.You have to realize that she was too scared to be with him  in the open, but she loved him, and refused to let another woman REALLY have him.. Diana is the one who made MJ take Emanuel Lewis on his dates with Brooke. She felt threatened by Brooke not only because Brooke was beautiful, but because she was  sweet, kind, classy and had a great personality. MJ was deeper that mere flesh. Diana knew He's find Brooke very appealing (far more so than Lisa. because Lisa had a very morose, needy, MOODY, sullen personality... Even Nic Cage described Lisa was the most Miserable person he'd ever known. Her pretty face was a plus, but her nasty vicious acrimonious personality is probably the reason she lacked longevity in most of her relationships..

 Anyway, Di knew Lisa was NO threat to her at all.  This is why Diana wanted MJ to -STAY WITH LISA  so Lisa could be her COVER GIRL>  while she secretly had Mike, and was with him whenever she wanted.  But she felt  Brooke WAS a possible threat, that's why she wasn't comfortable with Brooke dating HER Man, and that's why she demanded he take Manny to keep them from being alone together... This is also why she snatched him away from Stephanie Mills. Stephanie has a great personality and is very charming and soothing.. Mike began to like her TOO MUCH for Diana's taste, so she told MJ to cut it and dump steph now! He reluctantly did because Diana ALWAYS came first...

  So you  begin to see why MJ was putting out such large obvious clues. Because there was much he was being forced to hide by his spoiled, lovable, charming endless love- Diana

 Hey ladies. I was thinking of shutting this blog down because  I was tired of dealing with ppl who hate Diana and hate that MJ loved her sooooo much. But a good friend brought me back to my senses/ WHEW!

Thank God!. So we are back, and it's ON!! And Yes I will post at least once a wk, can't promise more than that, I have 2 businesses and I'm very busy. But I promise one, unless something extreme comes up....

So anyway, I know alot of ppl wonder {Sorry about the abbreviations: So used to using them it's hard to stop} But I know alot of ppl wonder about the Song         Break of Dawn,   They wonder who is it for and what is it about.  We are going to talk about it....

       THE REAL MEANING OF BOD!!

Break of dawn is about the time when Diana's girls were younger and she was concerned about them coming in her rm in the morning and catching Michael in her bed. Or worse, catch them in the act of making love. Me, I would have just gotten a really good lock, bc I would NOT be making his fine butt leave!  But Diana did. She insisted he leave very early in the morn, and that is why he would leave at the BREAK OF DAWN..

Di, was forcing MJ to keep their relationship IN THE CLOSET so the only way he could voice what was rly going on was to leak HUGE clues, hoping ppl were bright enough to pick up on them....

MJ. Why he married Lisa _ or did he?

Well. this is a nutshell version of the MJ /Lisa relationship...

First, know that the insiders backing her all seem to have an agenda, trying to sell books or getting paid or whatever..
That's why her Stan's have to photo shop so many videos, because MJ had cut her completely out of his life by late 90s..


Here's a quick back story on them and then I will give u a place to find the proof..

MJ fought for yrs to marry Di, then fought for yrs trying to win her back from Arne... In the meantime, his camp kept telling him the homo rumors about him were out of control and he needed a wife! MJ brushed it off cuz he WAS seeing Di whenever she had time for him, but he loved, but resented having to be her side piece. When he was lauching MJJ records, A friend of his, Brett Livingston told him he a perfect girl for his label. He said she was young and beautiful, and her NAME was a marketing dream!! When MJ asked who, he told him Lisa. MJ said to get her tape, but Lisa insisted on meeting him. So Brett arranged it at his house. ( this is lie 1 when Lisa claimed MJ insisted on meeting _HER_.
Lisa was married to Danny at the time, but of course she didn't let that stop her. Brett said she  ( like most ppl) was captivated by MJ's charisma, and magnetism. Brett said she began calling him constantly trying to get back to MJ. He said shortly after was her Body and when he told MJ, he said to get her somethg. Brett got her a picture and told her if was from MJ She went crazy with happiness, and began calling MJ nonstop offering friendship and a listening ear. This is the time if the 1st allegations, and He was horrified and vulnerable. This is also lie 2 where Lisa claimed he was calling her all the time but both Brett and MJ said it was her, and MJ even told that to Ebony Mag..in the Michael/Lisa issue..

He thought he could trust her. And he was desperately looking for trust because so many ppl are so fake in show biz.  He said during their convos she would cry at the lies the press was spewing Then she began telling him if he wete her husband they would never dare say the things they were saying. I don't think she realized he meant as a FAVOR, not as a REAL wife. She divorced danny and went to DR to marry MJ.

What was the meaning behind  WII? I will give you guys MY interpretation, and I would love to hear yours..This is what I get from it, since I do know a lot about MJ...

Can you guess the meaning behind this video? I can tell you my take...  (Who is it) It's figurative-not literal. It's like a dream. Michael was a genius, who thought on a much higher level than most ppl can even imagine.     

He almost never thought on a literal level. So it's not about a prostitute at all.  It's about the real life woman he was in love with forever -Diana Ross. that's why her name is on the card. The male card, Alex represents the man she left MJ for -Arne.  And  just like the song says, MJ gave her everything. He bought Diana everything from diamonds, furs, trips, to houses. And just like the song says, when she left him for Arne she did not leave a letter, or let him know-she just up and left...  Most of his songs are about her. She was the LOHL, and he practically worshipped the ground she walked on.. He called her the most important woman in his life, and 'the Goddess', another name he sometimes called her was heartbeat, because he said his heart only beat for her... I guess you can tell he was a man desperately in love...In this depiction he shows her as a victim of the industry. She thinks she's free because she gets all this money and gifts, but she's not even free to be with the man she loves! She's LIKE A HIGH PRICED CALL GIRL.  Rich, beautiful, but Controlled!  (Notice the face always popping up? -That's big brother watching! )MJ felt that the industry KEPT Diana Ross from marrying him (they did this by threats to her career) because he pissed off some very powerful ppl with his awareness songs, and efforts to bring races together, protect the poor, and  speak out against corruption and the like...He wanted to make the world a better place. He was a visionary...like JFK< and MLK... But I'm sure you're aware that Some ppl in high places do not want harmony and peace, they make millions off strife, distress and suffering. (not to mention ignorance) So he was warned to shut up, when he would not do it, they began to try to destroy him. They spread lies about him, they smeared him, and maligned him but  Keeping Diana from marrying him, was what hurt him the most. this is why he said: "This isn't justice, Oh whoa is me! I pray this punishment would have mercy on me!"

 He was talking about the loss of Diana. Notice he also says: "Somebody hurt my soul!"  Jermaine also talks about the time after Diana married Arne instead of MJ. He said Michael talked about feeling like his soul was being ripped out of his body!!  Diana was everything to him, and they knew it...  He felt the media, and the industry (shown as the evil pimps) used her as a pawn and basically ''GAVE ' her to another man to hurt him. 

The symbolism behind showing her with all the men (like a call girl) was like them saying 'We'll give her to every man in town before we allow YOU to have her!!"  In the end notice although the girl is crying she STILL goes back to the only life she knows....And that's exactly what DIana did...

His brother ,gave an interview years ago and said that MJ was having trouble with the JW because they had a  problem with his {relationship_ and that's the word he used} with Diana. Being that she was a divorcee. Yes, he also butted heads about thriller everyone knows that, and that he used the disclaimer to get around it, but the REAL issue with them, definitely seems to be Diana. And she appears to be the reason he ended up leaving. (that was covered up_ and you have to research to find it, but you'll find that the JW were sending him mail and telling him to stay away from her, and using the word 'tainted' when describing her!  So this seems to be  the reason he left the J5 and went solo! Diana told him she found Solo artists much much sexier than lead singers! MJ left his group  practically that same week!!   You will find when you begin to study him that most of his actions revolved around her! She was the LOHL, and he made her central to everything.

He would get her advice before career moves, he would have her ok contracts and agreements, he would arrange his sched so he could see her as much as possible. She was his everything! MJ was madly in love with di since he was a young boy, and he had been dreaming of marrying her for years! If you read his mother's book, she talks about what a hard time she had keeping him away from Diana, and how he began calling her his girlfriend and later his wife! His mom said she just thought it was an innocent crush, but it grew stronger and stronger to the point, she realized he really was in love with Diana and she yanked him from her home  (Diana was mentoring him for Motown) She hoped that would stop it, but he told his mom, he would " get big" and come back and marry Diana, and no one could stop him!  He spent years attempting to so just that. Di was the LOVE OF HIS LIFE! and that's why he called her " THE ONE" and " the most important woman in my life"  He called her that so much many mags began to call her that! Yes, she was like a mother to him at one point in his life 12-15 but even then he was in love with her, later she was like a good friend/confidante but he was still in love with her, and began letting her know around this time..  later still they began to date. They had their first date when he was 17, and 2 yrs later she took his virginity.

Yes, he felt a lot of guilt (that's what he was talking about in superfly sister, and ICLHGA , when he said 'I tried so hard to love you, some things take time and SHAME' ... He was ashamed because they were not married but he could not resist her. he goes on to say ' I PLAYED THE FOOL FOR YOU, I BROKE THE RULES FOR YOU!  JUST SAY IT AND I'LL DO IT, _ JUST MAKE THIS DREAM COME TRUE!!!   The rule he talked about was the sex before marriage rule. He felt guilty but he broke it again and again... But this is probably why he began to pressure her so hard to marry him in the early 80s. The dream he was referring to, was to marry Diana in Switzerland. that' had been his dream for years. He was head over heels for her, but she was being harassed by the media ( who KNEW about their relationship and even knew their favorite hotels{ BHH Bev Hills Hotel}, and the {HRH Hard Rock Hotel} In fact, they went to he HRH so often (under assumed names) that the hotel dedicated and decorated a suite just to them! And called it the MJ/Di suite! This is how his mama found out they were together.. So at one point she WAS like a mother to him when he was a kid, later she was a confidante/friend and later she was his lover/love of his life. This is why in MW. he says " Diana Ross is my mother/sister/LOVER  all rolled together in one incredible person! She ticked all those boxes in his life, at different points but ultimately she was the love of his life and the one he fought for year  after year to marry. He said many times how much he wanted to marry her, and how much he loved her, but ppl were not comfortable with it, so they ignored him...

It's long been believed that the reason MJ left the JW's was the disagreements over his music.
And this was certainly a factor, but not the only one, or even the most significant one.
